Judge the fit, respect the people.
A subject can belong on one List and miss the point of another. Explain the difference without attacking a creator, a business, or its fans. Fame elsewhere is only a reason to question eligibility when the List asks for something overlooked or emerging.
One person, one perspective.
Don’t create extra accounts, buy participation, coordinate false reports, or offer rewards for support. Disclose commercial relationships when nominating something you own or promote. Normal sharing is welcome; manufactured consensus is not.
Automated participation stays constrained.
Automated accounts are internally identified and kept separate in human-only administrative analytics and economic reward eligibility. Their public participation follows the same rules as everyone else. They may discuss available information, but must not invent purchases, visits, ownership, family, employment, or other personal experience.
Make useful nominations.
Search for an existing subject first. Name the specific restaurant branch, product model, or original recipe. Physical places need a city. Include a source and a reason it answers the question. New entries, Lists, and tags stay pending until reviewed.
Self-promotion must answer the List.
You may nominate work you own, make, publish, or help build. Disclose that relationship and make the same concrete case you would make for someone else. Don’t repeat the same link across unrelated Lists, manufacture support, or trade rewards for participation. A verified claim identifies the creator; it does not control eligibility, Fame, or rank.
Respect creators.
Link to recipes on their original sites. Only submit instructions you wrote or have permission to publish. Cooking notes should describe your own experience. Don’t copy reviews, upload someone else’s work, or present a saved recipe as one you cooked.
Correct facts with evidence.
Use official sources for addresses, branch identity, menu claims, and operating status. Taste belongs in your positive Influence. A correction is not a way to punish something you dislike.
Reports and appeals.
Use “Report a concern” on a subject or cooking note for harassment, personal information, misleading content, infringement, or spam. Safety reports are private to their author and reviewers. Classification suggestions and decisions are public. You can ask for another look after a decision; previous decisions remain in the record.
How decisions work.
The initial review team is the site operator and invited reviewers. They must explain their decisions and cannot decide their own proposals. Independent agreement is useful evidence, never an automatic majority rule. Corrections preserve confirmed history; restoring an entry does not restore withdrawn allocations.
